Quad RS-422/RS-485 receiver for 3.3 V buses
It integrates four independent receivers in a single 16-SOIC package, each with 50 mV of hysteresis to reject noise on long twisted-pair runs.
Supply rail and noise margin
The 50 mV receiver hysteresis is a practical margin for differential signals that have picked up common-mode noise over a few metres of cable — it prevents the output from chattering when the differential input hovers near the threshold. Because this is a receiver-only device (0 drivers, 4 receivers), it pairs with a separate RS-485 transceiver driver or a UART with built-in driver.
