Quad RS422/RS485 line driver for 3.3V backplanes and industrial links
It integrates four independent drivers in a single 16-SOIC package, with no receivers on-chip — this is a pure transmit-side device.
At 3.3V nominal, the AM26LV31CNSR interfaces directly with 3.3V UARTs, FPGAs, and MCUs without level shifters. If your system still runs a 5V logic bus, the input thresholds are not 5V-tolerant — you will need external translation or a different driver variant. The 4/0 driver/receiver count means you pair this with a separate RS422/RS485 receiver (like the AM26LV32 or SN75175) for a full transceiver pair.
For prototype or low-volume builds, Cut Tape (CT) options are also available.
This is a standard catalog part with broad distribution coverage. For BOM planning, the base product number AM26LV31 covers multiple package and temperature variants, so the CNSR (commercial temp, SOIC, Tape & Reel) is the most widely stocked option.
