12-bit SAR ADC with differential input and SPI
The ADS7817E/250 is a 12-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Texas Instruments, sampling at 200k samples per second over an SPI interface. Its differential input architecture rejects common-mode noise on the analog front-end, making it suitable for sensor bridges, current shunts, and other low-level differential signals where the return path is not at system ground.
Supply and temperature range
Both analog and digital supplies are tied to a single 5 V rail, simplifying the power tree — no separate AVDD and DVDD sequencing is needed.
Supplied in an 8-pin VSSOP (MSOP-8) package with 0.65 mm pitch — the 3.00 mm body width fits tight channel spacing on mixed-signal boards.
RoHS3 compliant (2011/65/EU + 2015/863), with no exemptions claimed.
