32-bit sigma-delta ADC for precision measurement chains
The Texas Instruments ADS1285IRHBT is a 32-bit sigma-delta ADC with a differential input, internal multiplexer, and programmable gain amplifier (MUX-PGA-ADC architecture). It samples at 4 kSPS and communicates over a 3-wire SPI interface. The 32-bit resolution targets high-accuracy instrumentation, weigh scales, seismic monitoring, and industrial process control where noise floor and linearity dominate the signal chain budget.
32 bits at 4 kSPS — the resolution-speed trade-off
The 32-bit resolution samples at 4 kSPS. The sigma-delta modulator oversamples and decimates to push quantization noise out of the passband.
