Single SPDT switch in a tiny SOT-23-6
The Texas Instruments 74LVC1G3157DBVRE4 is a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog switch in the 74LVC family, packaged in a 6-pin SOT-23-6. It routes one common terminal to either of two independent I/O paths, functioning as a 2:1 multiplexer or 1:2 demultiplexer.
15 Ohm on-resistance and 300 MHz bandwidth — what they mean for signal routing
The 15 Ohm max on-state resistance is low enough to minimise insertion loss in audio, video, and low-frequency analog paths, while the 300 MHz -3dB bandwidth supports high-speed digital signals like SPI, I2C, or UART without significant edge degradation. Crosstalk is rated at -54 dB at 10 MHz, which keeps channel-to-channel bleed low enough for multiplexing multiple analog channels in a data-acquisition front end. Switching times of 5.7 ns turn-on and 3.8 ns turn-off allow fast signal path reconfiguration, useful in sample-and-hold circuits or RF envelope switching.
This eliminates the need to qualify a replacement for ongoing builds. The SOT-23-6 package is widely used and second-sourced across the industry, reducing single-source exposure on the BOM.
