8-bit parallel-load shift register in TTL
The Texas Instruments 74LS165PC is an 8-bit parallel-load shift register built on the low-power Schottky TTL logic family. It accepts eight bits of data on its parallel inputs and shifts them out serially on the rising edge of the clock, making it a standard building block for expanding digital inputs into a microcontroller or processor port.
Supplied in Bulk packaging, the 74LS165PC comes in a standard DIP footprint that fits through-hole PCB layouts. The 0.100-inch pin pitch and 0.300-inch row spacing are compatible with conventional prototyping boards and production wave-solder processes.
