The 74LS132PC is a quad 2-input NAND gate from the LS (Low-Power Schottky) TTL family, featuring Schmitt-trigger inputs on all four gates. This gives clean switching on slow or noisy input edges — useful for debouncing, waveform shaping, or interfacing with RC oscillators in legacy 5 V logic systems.
That said, it is RoHS non-compliant — a legacy leaded finish. If your assembly line runs lead-free reflow profiles, this part needs a separate handling step or a waiver. For MRO or repair of older boards where leaded solder is already in use, this is not a concern.
