Lifecycle status — obsolete, sourced through surplus channels
TDK lists the ACM3225-271-2P-T as Obsolete. Available through independent surplus and broker inventory.
What the 270 Ohm impedance means for the signal line
Rated 270 Ohms at 100 MHz, this is a common-mode filter for signal lines — the impedance peak targets conducted EMI in the 100 MHz band, typical for suppressing clock harmonics or switching noise on data pairs. Two-line configuration suits differential signal pairs such as USB, CAN, or LVDS where common-mode noise needs attenuation without degrading the differential signal.
Current rating and DC resistance — the DC loss trade-off
Rated 300 mA maximum with a DCR of 300 mOhm max. At full rated current, the self-heating from I²R loss is about 27 mW — negligible for the 1210 package, but the voltage drop across the filter (90 mV at 300 mA) should be budgeted in the rail margin.
1210 (3225 Metric) SMD package, 4-lead, surface-mount.
