15 µH wirewound, 200 mA — what the ratings mean for the BOM line
The LBC2016T150K is a Taiyo Yuden wirewound inductor in the LB, C Type series, unshielded, in an 0806 (2016 Metric) surface-mount package. The 28 MHz self-resonant frequency means this inductor is useful for filtering and DC-DC output ripple up to a few MHz — above that the impedance turns capacitive and the attenuation drops off. The 2.52 MHz test frequency is a standard reference point for this inductance value.
That means it is still available for existing BOM positions but the manufacturer is not supporting it for new builds. If you are sourcing for a production run, this part can be quoted to order — but for a new board spin, look at the active alternatives in the same LB series or a shielded 0806 wirewound from the same footprint.
0806 footprint — what the board needs
Unshielded means the magnetic field couples into adjacent copper — keep sensitive traces or other magnetics at least a pad width away. The tape-and-reel packaging (Cut Tape also available) suits pick-and-place; no special bake or MSL handling is noted, but standard 260°C reflow profile applies for the lead-free solder joint.
