1 µH at 620 mA — what the ratings mean for a DC-DC rail
The LBC2012T1R0MV is a wirewound inductor rated 1 µH at 620 mA with a DCR of 190 mOhm. For a buck converter switching at 1 MHz, the 620 mA current rating sets the inductor's saturation floor — the core should not saturate below that current, so the converter's peak inductor current must stay under 620 mA to avoid a hard saturation collapse that sends a current spike through the switch FET.
AEC-Q200 — the automotive-grade gate
The AEC-Q200 qualification means this inductor has passed the stress tests required for automotive electronics: temperature cycling, mechanical shock, vibration, and biased humidity. For a power supply feeding an infotainment head unit or an ADAS sensor module, the Q200 rating removes the need for a separate qualification run — the inductor is already screened for the under-dash temperature band. At 105°C the DCR rises with the copper temperature coefficient, so the I²R loss at 620 mA is higher than the 25°C figure — budget the thermal rise from the 190 mOhm DCR at the expected ambient.
