4 A, 600 V standard TRIAC in a TO-251-3 IPak
The Z0410MH is a 4 A RMS on-state, 600 V off-state standard TRIAC from STMicroelectronics, part of the ECOPACK2 series. It switches AC loads in phase-control and full-wave applications where a single bidirectional thyristor is needed.
Gate drive and surge handling
Maximum gate trigger current is 25 mA and maximum gate trigger voltage is 1.3 V — the drive circuit must source at least this current at the gate threshold to guarantee turn-on across temperature. The 25 mA maximum hold current sets the minimum load current that keeps the TRIAC latched; below this level the device drops out of conduction at the next zero-crossing. Non-repetitive surge current is 15 A at 50 Hz and 16 A at 60 Hz — this is the peak current the TRIAC can withstand for one cycle during an inrush event, such as a lamp cold-start or a capacitive load power-up. The surge rating is a one-shot limit, not a repetitive specification.
