Offline switcher for 20 W isolated and non-isolated supplies
The VIPER265KDTR is an offline switching regulator from ST's VIPER™ series that integrates a 1050 V avalanche-rugged power MOSFET and a 60 kHz PWM controller in a single 16-SOIC package. It delivers up to 20 W in flyback, buck, or buck-boost topologies, making it a fit for auxiliary supplies, appliance power boards, and industrial control power stages.
1050 V breakdown and 150 °C junction — margin for universal mains
The 1050 V breakdown voltage gives headroom above the typical 800 V peak on a 265 VAC line with reflected voltage — you can skip external snubber components in many designs.

Protection set and supply range
Built-in fault protection covers current limiting, overload, and short-circuit conditions. The controller includes an enable pin and a soft-start feature for controlled ramp-up. The VCC supply range is 11.5 V to 23.5 V with a 13 V start-up threshold, compatible with standard bias windings or auxiliary supplies.
