Active production — 7 W flyback with 730 V avalanche-rugged MOSFET
The VIPER22ASTR-E is an active-production offline flyback switcher from STMicroelectronics' VIPER™ series, integrating a 730 V avalanche-rugged power MOSFET and a PWM controller in a single 8-SOIC package. Rated for 7 W output in isolated flyback topologies, it switches at 60 kHz and operates from a Vcc supply of 8 V to 38 V with a 14.5 V startup threshold.
Protection set and temperature grade
The -40°C to 150°C (TC) operating range qualifies it for industrial and outdoor power supplies where ambient temperatures push past 85°C.
ROHS3 compliant, with no halogenated flame retardants in the molding compound per the STMicro compliance declaration.
