10 W flyback with integrated 800 V MOSFET
The STMicroelectronics VIPER15LD is a monolithic flyback switcher from the VIPer™ plus family, integrating a 800 V avalanche-rugged power MOSFET and PWM controller in a single 16-SOIC package. It delivers up to 10 W in an isolated flyback topology, switching at 136 kHz to keep the transformer compact.
Fault protection and supply range
Built-in fault protection covers current limiting, over-temperature, and over-voltage — reducing the external protection components needed around the controller. The Vcc supply range of 8.5 V to 23.5 V with a 14 V start-up threshold gives the designer a clean window for bias winding design.
