The VIPER114LSTR integrates an 800 V avalanche-rugged power MOSFET and a PWM controller in a single 10-SSOP package, targeting non-isolated offline converters up to 12 W. It supports buck, buck-boost, and flyback topologies with a fixed 60 kHz switching frequency. The 800 V breakdown gives enough headroom for universal AC input (85–265 VAC) rectified to ~375 VDC, with margin for line transients. The 12 W output ceiling is practical for auxiliary supplies in appliances, metering, and industrial control boards.

Fault protection includes over-load and over-voltage shutdown. The soft-start feature reduces inrush stress on the output capacitor during power-up.
