Seven channels, 500 mA each — the workhorse sink driver
The ULN2001D1013TR is a 7-channel Darlington transistor array from the STMicroelectronics ULx200xA series. Each of the seven NPN open-collector outputs sinks up to 500 mA continuous, switching loads up to 50 V — enough for a bank of small relays, a stepper motor phase, or a handful of solenoid valves in a PLC output stage. The inputs are inverting: a logic low on the input pin turns the corresponding output on, pulling the load to ground.

Housed in a 16-SOIC package with a 3.90 mm body width (the standard SO-16 narrow footprint). Pin 1 is marked by a dot on the package top; the orientation is unambiguous.

How it sits against the ULN2003 — the input threshold is the difference
The ULN2001, ULN2002, ULN2003, and ULN2004 share the same package (16-SOIC), pinout (1:1 input-to-output ratio), and output ratings (7 channels, 500 mA, 50 V). The ULN2003 is the most common variant, with a threshold optimized for standard TTL (2.7 V min high). If your design already uses a ULN2003 and the input drive is 5 V CMOS, the ULN2001D1013TR is a drop-in replacement — same footprint, same output current, same inductive-load clamping diodes.
