10 A RMS SCR for mains-voltage phase control
The TYN610RG is a standard-recovery SCR rated for 600 V off-state blocking and 10 A RMS on-state current — a combination that suits phase-control and AC-switching loads.
Maximum gate trigger current is 15 mA at 1.5 V — a standard logic-level driver or a simple resistor-capacitor network can fire it without a dedicated gate-drive IC. The 30 mA maximum holding current ensures the SCR latches on once triggered at rated load; below this threshold the device turns off, which matters for lightly loaded or pulsed circuits.
Surge capability and thermal margin
Non-repetitive surge current is rated at 100 A (50 Hz) and 105 A (60 Hz) — enough headroom for capacitor inrush or short-circuit events in a properly fused design.
ROHS3 compliant; no lead-free version question — this part already meets the current exemption-free RoHS directive.
