Current sense amp for shunt monitoring
The STMicroelectronics TSC103IPT is a single-channel current sense amplifier in an 8-TSSOP package, designed to measure current through an external shunt resistor and output a voltage proportional to the shunt voltage. The 700 kHz -3dB bandwidth and 0.6 V/µs slew rate support monitoring of DC currents with moderate ripple content — the bandwidth is sufficient for most motor-drive and power-supply current loops, though not for fast-switching waveforms above a few hundred kilohertz. Each output channel can source or sink 26 mA, enough to drive an ADC input or a comparator directly without a buffer stage.
Housed in an 8-TSSOP (0.173-inch body width, 4.40 mm width) with a 0.65 mm lead pitch — the footprint matches the standard JEDEC MO-153 variation, and the surface-mount package is compatible with lead-free reflow profiles.
