Quad rail-to-rail op-amp for automotive signal chains
The STMicroelectronics TS974IPT is a quad general-purpose op-amp with rail-to-rail output, qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 1 for operation from -40°C to 125°C. The 12 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 4 V/µs slew rate support sensor conditioning, actuator feedback, and level-shifting circuits in engine-bay or chassis-mount ECUs where the ambient temperature regularly exceeds 105°C.
12 MHz GBW and 2 mA per channel supply budget
Each of the four amplifiers draws 2 mA supply current, totalling 8 mA for the package — a reasonable quiescent budget for a 12 MHz rail-to-rail op-amp that can deliver 100 mA per channel into the load. The 200 nA input bias current and 1 mV input offset voltage are typical for a general-purpose bipolar input stage; the offset is low enough that a single gain stage can drive a 12-bit ADC without external nulling for most sensor ranges.
