Sensitive gate thyristor for low-power AC control
The TS420-600H is a sensitive-gate SCR rated for 4 A RMS on-state current and 600 V off-state blocking voltage, housed in a TO-251 (IPAK) through-hole package. With a maximum gate trigger current of just 200 µA and gate trigger voltage of 800 mV, this part is designed for direct drive from low-power logic or microcontroller I/O without an intermediate driver stage.
Parametric highlights for the BOM line
The 4 A RMS (2.5 A average) on-state rating suits loads like small solenoids, relays, or incandescent lamps where the RMS current stays under the limit and the 30 A / 33 A non-repetitive surge (50/60 Hz) handles inrush on cold starts. Maximum on-state voltage is 1.6 V at rated current, and the holding current is 5 mA max — low enough to stay latched with light loads but high enough to avoid nuisance turn-off from leakage.
