Quad comparator in a slim 14-TSSOP
The TS3704IPT is a quad general-purpose comparator from STMicroelectronics, packing four independent comparators into a 14-TSSOP package. It uses CMOS push-pull outputs, so no external pull-up resistor is needed on the output side — the output swings rail-to-rail and can source or sink up to 20 mA per channel. Operating temperature spans -40°C to 125°C, so it handles engine-bay ambient and outdoor enclosure heat soak. The 14-TSSOP body is 4.40 mm wide — a standard fine-pitch SOIC footprint that rework stations and pick-and-place lines handle routinely.
Quiescent current maxes at 25 µA per device — all four comparators together draw about the same as a single low-power op-amp. That keeps the thermal budget in a dense TSSOP layout and lets the part run in battery-powered sensor nodes without draining the cell. The 5 mV max input offset at 10 V sets the threshold accuracy floor; for a 100 mV reference, that is 5 % error, so a precision reference or trimming may be needed for tighter windows. 80 dB typical CMRR means the threshold shifts less than 0.1 mV per volt of common-mode change — good enough for most window comparators and zero-crossing detectors where the input swings across the supply range.
It is RoHS3 compliant (lead-free, no exemptions), so it passes into EU and UKCA markets without a waiver. No minimum-buy restrictions beyond the reel quantity.
