JFET inputs with 20 pA bias — signal-chain fit
The TL082IDT is a dual JFET-input operational amplifier from STMicroelectronics, part of the TL082 family. With a gain bandwidth product of 4 MHz and a slew rate of 16 V/µs, it handles fast signal edges in automotive sensor conditioning and motor-drive feedback paths. Input bias current is 20 pA typical — that is low enough to read from a high-impedance sensor (like a piezo knock sensor or thermopile) without loading the source. The 3 mV input offset voltage means you are not burning gain-stage trim pots in production. Supply span runs from 6 V to 36 V, so it works on a 12 V automotive rail or a 24 V industrial bus without a secondary regulator.
AEC-Q100 — under-hood temperature range
Grade is Automotive, qualified to AEC-Q100. Operating temperature spans -40°C to 105°C — that is the under-hood band. An engine-bay ECU that sees 85°C ambient on a hot day still has 20°C of margin before the die hits the rated ceiling. Lifecycle status is Active. ROHS3 compliant — no exemption-based lead in the solder finish.
SOIC-8 — field-swappable footprint
Package is 8-SOIC, 3.90 mm body width. Surface-mount, supplier device package 8-SOIC. Supplied in Tape & Reel — 2500 pieces per reel typical for this SOIC-8 format. Cut tape also available for prototype quantities.
