Load-switching envelope and gate drive
The T810T-8G: Rated for 8 A RMS on-state current at 800 V off-state blocking voltage, this triac switches AC loads like small motors, heaters, solenoid valves, and lamp banks within that envelope. The 60 A / 63 A non-repetitive surge rating (50/60 Hz) handles the inrush from capacitive or incandescent loads without exceeding the die's surge capability. The Logic - Sensitive Gate type triggers with a maximum gate current of 10 mA and a maximum gate voltage of 1.3 V. That low trigger threshold means a microcontroller GPIO or a logic-level optocoupler can drive it directly, without a separate driver transistor — a common requirement in appliance control boards and solid-state relay front-ends.
Package and thermal path
The single-die configuration and surface-mount footprint make it a natural fit for reflow-assembled boards where a through-hole triac would add a manual-solder step. The Tube packaging is standard for D²PAK quantities in prototyping and low-to-medium volume production.
