Package and assembly note
Supplied in Tube, surface-mount D2PAK (TO-263-3) with two leads plus a tab. The tab is the main thermal path and is electrically common with the MT2 terminal — account for this in the PCB layout if multiple devices share a heatsink. The D2PAK footprint matches standard reflow profiles; the large tab pad needs a thermal via array under the component to pull heat into the board copper.
