600 V, 30 A fast recovery — the switching diode for PFC and boost stages
It is designed for the output stage of power-factor-correction circuits, boost converters, and high-frequency rectification in switch-mode power supplies and motor drives.
55 ns trr — what it delivers in the switching loop
The 55 ns reverse recovery time keeps switching losses low in continuous-current-mode PFC and hard-switched converters. The 2.4 V forward drop at 30 A is the conduction-loss floor. Reverse leakage is specified at 5 µA at the 600 V blocking voltage, which is the steady-state leakage at 25°C — expect it to rise with junction temperature, but the 175°C maximum Tj gives headroom for thermally aggressive layouts in enclosed power supplies.
Through-hole TO-247-2 — mounting and thermal path
The TO-247-2 package provides a large copper tab for heatsinking and a through-hole mounting that suits point-of-load and chassis-mount assemblies. The isolated case simplifies mounting to a shared heatsink in multi-diode topologies.
