Dual 15 A fast-recovery diode in TO-247-3
The 22 ns reverse recovery time (trr) puts it in the ultrafast class, suited for high-frequency rectification and freewheeling in switch-mode power supplies, PFC stages, and motor-drive snubbers.
A 22 ns trr at 15 A forward current means the diode clears stored charge quickly enough to keep reverse-recovery losses low in continuous-current-mode (CCM) PFC boost stages running above 100 kHz. Slower diodes in the same position would push junction temperature higher and force a larger heatsink or a lower switching frequency. Forward voltage is 1.05 V maximum at 15 A per diode, giving a conduction loss of roughly 15.75 W per diode at full rated current. The TO-247-3 package with its large copper tab is sized to pull that heat into a heatsink — expect to budget a thermal interface pad and a clamp or screw mount.
175°C junction — thermal headroom for tight layouts
Maximum junction temperature is 175°C, which is the standard high-temperature ceiling for industrial-grade power diodes. It gives a wider derating margin in a 85°C ambient cabinet than a 150°C-rated part would, but the leakage current at 200 V reverse (20 µA at 25°C) climbs with temperature — the thermal design should keep Tj below 150°C in steady state to avoid runaway.
