2 A, 600 V fast-recovery diode for automotive and industrial switching
The STMicroelectronics STTH2L06UFY is an AEC-Q101 qualified fast-recovery standard diode rated for 600 V reverse voltage and 2 A average forward current, with a reverse recovery time of 70 ns. The ECOPACK 2 designation means the part is halogen-free and RoHS compliant per the latest EU directives.
A 70 ns reverse recovery time puts this diode in the fast-recovery class, not the ultrafast (sub-30 ns) tier. That is still fast enough to keep switching losses manageable in a 100–200 kHz PFC or LLC converter, and it gives you a softer snap-off than a 35 ns part — less ringing on the drain node and lower EMI. The 1.4 V forward drop at 2 A is typical for a 600 V planar structure; if your efficiency target demands sub-1.2 V Vf, you would move to a SiC Schottky, but that comes with a different price bracket and layout rules.
AEC-Q101 and 175°C junction — what the automotive grade covers
Reverse leakage is specified at 2 µA at 600 V, which is tight enough to avoid thermal runaway in a high-impedance bus like a 48 V automotive auxiliary rail.
STMicroelectronics lists the STTH2L06UFY as Active. For BOM planning, this is a low-risk line item — no imminent EOL, no forced redesign.
