The STTH2L06 is a 600 V, 2 A fast-recovery rectifier from STMicroelectronics, built with standard planar technology.

Parametric fit for PFC and flyback outputs

Rated 600 V reverse and 2 A average forward current, the STTH2L06 covers the boost diode position in power-factor-correction stages and the output rectifier in flyback converters. Forward voltage is 1.3 V max at 2 A, and reverse leakage is 2 µA at 600 V.

Supplied in the DO-41 axial-lead package, through-hole mount. The DO-41 body is a standard 2-lead glass-passivated format, compatible with existing PTH layouts and wave-solder processes. Tape & Box (TB) packaging is available for automated insertion.

It is ROHS3 compliant, with no exemptions that would complicate EU or California market shipments.

Can STTH2L06 replace a general-purpose rectifier like 1N4007?

The STTH2L06 is a fast-recovery diode (85 ns trr), not a standard 50/60 Hz rectifier. It can physically replace a 1N4007 in a DO-41 footprint, but the fast recovery is unnecessary for line-frequency rectification and adds cost. Use it where switching losses matter — PFC boost, flyback snubber, or high-frequency output rectification — not for bulk 50 Hz bridge rectifiers.
