120 A per diode, 600 V, 120 ns trr — high-current fast-recovery module
Each of the two independent diodes switches with a 120 ns reverse recovery time, which keeps turn-off losses low in hard-switched topologies like PFC boost stages and output rectifiers in welding inverters or UPS systems. Forward voltage drop is 1.55 V maximum at 100 A per diode — a reasonable conduction-loss figure for a 120 A rated device. The 100 µA maximum reverse leakage at 600 V is typical for a fast-epitaxial diode of this voltage class.
ISOTOP chassis-mount — power-loop layout matters
Housed in the ISOTOP package, this module bolts directly to a heatsink or chassis — the copper baseplate provides both electrical isolation and a low thermal resistance path. The two independent diodes share a common cathode or can be wired in series or parallel depending on the bus-bar layout. The screw terminals handle the 120 A per diode without a separate PCB trace; plan the bus-bar cross-section for the full loop current. Maximum junction temperature is 150 °C, which sets the thermal derating curve for the application. At 120 A continuous the module needs a heatsink sized to keep the junction below that limit at the ambient temperature of the enclosure.
