Forward voltage drop is 1.1 V maximum at 20 A, giving a conduction loss of roughly 22 W at full rated current — the D2PAK's exposed pad on the PCB must be thermally managed with adequate copper area and vias to keep junction temperature under the 175 °C maximum. The D2PAK (TO-263AB) is a surface-mount package with a large exposed metal tab on the bottom — the tab is the cathode connection and the primary heat path.
