600 V, 1 A fast recovery in a DO-41 can
The STTH1R06RL is a 600 V, 1 A fast recovery rectifier from STMicroelectronics, built with standard silicon technology. Its 45 ns reverse recovery time (trr) at 1 A forward current places it firmly in the fast-recovery class — a clean switch-off that cuts reverse-recovery losses in PFC boost stages, flyback snubbers, and secondary-side freewheeling diodes where a standard 1N4007's microsecond recovery would ring and overheat.
The 45 ns trr is the spec that separates this part from a commodity rectifier. In a continuous-conduction-mode PFC at 100 kHz, that recovery charge is small enough to keep the diode's switching loss below the conduction loss — the junction stays under 175 °C without oversized heatsinking. Compare that to a standard-recovery part where the stored charge spike can push the junction past rating in a few cycles. For a flyback clamp or RCD snubber, the 45 ns window means the diode recovers before the MOSFET turns on hard, so the voltage overshoot is contained. Forward drop is 1.7 V max at 1 A — typical for a 600 V fast-recovery die. The 1 µA reverse leakage at 600 V is a room-temperature figure; expect it to rise with junction temperature, but the 175 °C rating gives headroom for a 125 °C ambient design.

The DO-41 axial package is a through-hole form factor that bends into a PCB or terminal block.
