Its 50 ns reverse recovery time places it in the fast-epitaxial class, not the ultrafast or SiC tier — fast enough for continuous-conduction-mode PFC and 100 kHz switching supplies, but not a 20 ns part for 500 kHz LLC converters.

At 8 A total (4 A per diode), the conduction loss is roughly 6 W; at 16 A total, it hits 12 W. The TO-220 package with its metal tab needs a heatsink above about 5 W total dissipation — the tab is common-cathode, so the heatsink is electrically live unless an insulating pad is used.
