A fast-recovery dual diode that's now in the broker channel
With a 26 ns reverse recovery time, this diode keeps the switching node clean in a 100 kHz+ PFC or LLC converter. The fast recovery cuts the reverse-current spike that would otherwise add turn-on loss in the MOSFET and radiate noise. At 200 V Vr and 10 A If, the forward drop sits at 1.1 V typical — about what you'd expect from a 200 V silicon fast-recovery diode in this current class. The 6 µA reverse leakage at 200 V is low enough that it won't skew a standby power budget.
ST lists the STTH1602CG as obsolete. If you're qualifying a replacement, look for a 200 V, 10 A dual common-cathode fast-recovery diode in D2PAK with a trr at or below 26 ns — several vendors offer pin-compatible parts in the same TO-263-3 footprint. For a production BOM that can't tolerate a single-source risk, this is the point to dual-source or migrate to a current-production equivalent.
