Product details

What this dual fast-recovery diode brings to a 200 V rail

Its 26 ns reverse recovery time (trr) keeps switching losses low in continuous-current-mode PFC stages, output rectifiers in 200 V bus converters, and freewheeling paths in motor-drive snubbers.

At 26 ns trr, this diode recovers faster than a standard ultrafast in the same voltage class. That translates to lower reverse-recovery charge injected into the switching node, which reduces turn-on loss in the upstream MOSFET or IGBT and cuts conducted EMI from the recovery snap.

TO-220FP — rework and mounting note

The full-pack (fully isolated) TO-220FP case means the mounting tab is at the same potential as the leads — no separate insulator needed. For rework, the plastic body is thicker than a standard TO-220, so it takes a bit more heat to get the solder joints flowing; preheat the board or bump the hot-air temperature above your usual TO-220 profile.

Frequently asked questions

What is the reverse recovery time (trr) of the STTH1602CFP?

The reverse recovery time (trr) is 26 ns. That is the typical value at rated conditions — fast enough for 100 kHz hard-switched stages.

Is the STTH1602CFP RoHS compliant?

Yes, the STTH1602CFP is ROHS3 compliant.
