5 A per diode, common-cathode pair — 10 A total in a single TO-277A
Two 5 A diodes share a common cathode in the TO-277A (SMPC) package, delivering up to 10 A total in a single surface-mount footprint. The 1.05 V forward voltage drop at 5 A per diode sets the conduction loss floor; at 5 A each, the pair dissipates about 10.5 W total, which the TO-277A copper pad can sink with adequate PCB thermal relief. Reverse leakage is 4 µA at 200 V, and the junction is rated to 175 °C — the thermal limit is set by the board's copper area under the cathode tab, not the silicon.
