200 V, 25 ns trr — what this dual-diode brings to the board
The STMicroelectronics STTH1002CR is a dual common-cathode ultrafast recovery diode rated for 200 V DC reverse voltage, with each diode carrying an average rectified current of 8 A. The 25 ns trr makes it suitable for continuous-current-mode (CCM) power-factor-correction stages, output rectification in 200 V-class flyback and forward converters, and snubber clamping where switching losses matter. Package is a through-hole TO-262 (I2PAK) with three leads — the center tab is the common cathode, the two outer leads are the anodes.
Package and mounting — through-hole I2PAK
The STTH1002CR is supplied in a TO-262-3 long-lead package, also referred to as I²Pak or TO-262AA. It is a through-hole device — the leads insert into the PCB, and the metal tab is soldered to the board for thermal transfer or can be bolted to a heatsink. The R suffix in the order code distinguishes this variant from the STTH1002C (which ships in a different package or tube orientation).
