200 V, 50 A per diode — dual fast-recovery rectifier in ISOTOP
The STMicroelectronics STTH10002TV1 is a dual fast-recovery diode module containing two independent standard-recovery diodes, each rated for 200 V reverse voltage and 50 A average rectified current. The 65 ns reverse recovery time (trr) makes it suited for high-frequency rectification, freewheeling, and snubber circuits where switching losses matter. The ISOTOP package is designed for chassis mounting with a large-area baseplate that bolts directly to a heatsink — the typical deployment is in industrial power supplies, welding equipment, motor drives, and uninterruptible power supplies where the thermal path must handle tens of amps continuously.
A 65 ns reverse recovery time places this diode in the fast-recovery class (≤500 ns at >200 mA). In a hard-switched converter, that trr directly sets the reverse-recovery charge that the switching device must absorb. The STTH10002TV1's recovery is soft enough to keep ringing under control without oversized snubbers, which simplifies the PCB layout around the ISOTOP module. For a 50 A forward drop of 1 V at rated current, conduction losses are predictable — the 50 µA reverse leakage at 200 V confirms the blocking behaviour is clean at temperature.
The base product number STTH10002 covers the whole family, so if a different voltage or package variant is needed later, the transition stays within the same ST silicon process.
ISOTOP chassis-mount — thermal and mechanical fit
The ISOTOP package (also known as ISOTOP®) is a standard high-power module outline with M5 screw terminals and a flat copper baseplate. It is intended for chassis mounting, not PCB soldering — the buyer's mechanical drawing should account for the hole pattern and a thermal-interface material between the baseplate and the heatsink.
