It belongs to the ECOPACK®2 series, which means the lead-frame and moulding compound are halogen-free and antimony-free per ST's green packaging standard.
Forward drop and thermal headroom
At 5 A forward current the maximum forward voltage is 685 mV — this is the conduction loss figure that drives heatsinking decisions. Reverse leakage at the 100 V blocking rating is 11.5 µA, a number to check against standby-power budgets in always-on circuits.
The base product number is STPST5, so the same die is available in other package variants if the board later needs a different footprint.
