10 A, 100 V Schottky for power rectification
The STPST10H100SF is a 100 V, 10 A Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics, housed in a TO-277A (SMPC) surface-mount package. It targets output rectification in switch-mode power supplies, freewheeling diodes in DC-DC converters, and reverse-polarity protection circuits where low forward voltage and fast switching are required.
Forward drop and leakage at rated current
Reverse leakage is specified at 26 µA when blocking 100 V; while low at 25°C, leakage doubles with every 10°C rise in junction temperature, so the thermal budget at 175°C junction maximum needs a derating calculation.
Fast recovery and switching edge
Rated for fast recovery with trr ≤ 500 ns at forward current above 200 mA, this diode suits continuous-current rectification in 100–200 kHz switching converters where a standard recovery rectifier would overheat. The Schottky barrier itself eliminates stored charge, so the recovery time is dominated by the junction capacitance rather than minority-carrier sweep-out.
The TO-277A (SMPC) package exposes a large metal tab on the bottom for solder-down to the PCB copper plane.
It is part of the ECOPACK2 series, meaning the package is halogen-free and RoHS-compliant per ST's material declaration.
