Active Schottky for 45V rails at 7.5A
The STPS745FP is a Schottky rectifier diode from STMicroelectronics, rated for 45 V reverse voltage and 7.5 A average rectified current. That saves assembly time and improves thermal transfer in crowded power supplies.
Forward drop and leakage at temperature
Maximum forward voltage is 840 mV at 15 A pulsed — that's the worst-case conduction loss at high surge. At the 7.5 A average rating the Vf will be lower, but the 840 mV figure is what you use for thermal worst-case calculation. Reverse leakage is 100 µA at 45 V, specified at 25 °C junction. Like all Schottkys, leakage climbs with temperature — at 175 °C max junction it will be significantly higher, so the thermal design needs to account for leakage power at high ambient.
ROHS3 compliant.
