60 V, 3 A Schottky — under-hood thermal budget
Its 175 °C maximum junction temperature allows it to sit on a 12 V or 24 V automotive rail inside an ECU or under-hood module without derating at 85 °C ambient — something a standard 150 °C Schottky cannot match.
At 3 A forward current the typical forward voltage is 610 mV — this sets the conduction loss at roughly 1.8 W. The reverse leakage at 60 V is 19 µA at 25 °C, but Schottky leakage doubles every 10–15 °C above 100 °C junction; at 150 °C the leakage contribution can add another 0.5 W to the thermal budget.
AEC-Q101 — no waiver needed
For a BOM targeting an automotive Tier-1 or OEM production line, no qualification waiver is needed.
