The STPS60SM200CW is a 200 V, 60 A Schottky rectifier pair in a common-cathode TO-247-3 package from STMicroelectronics.
60 A per diode — sizing the heatsink and the bus
At 60 A average per diode, the total forward conduction loss at full load reaches roughly 50 W per diode if the junction stays near 25°C. The 175°C maximum junction rating gives headroom for compact heatsink designs, but the 50 µA reverse leakage at 200 V climbs sharply above 125°C, so the thermal budget must account for leakage-induced self-heating.
Common-cathode layout — one tab, two diodes
The common-cathode configuration shares the TO-247 tab as the cathode connection for both diodes. This simplifies the PCB layout for center-tapped full-wave rectifiers and interleaved PFC stages — both anodes connect to separate transformer windings or inductor legs, while the single tab bolts to the heatsink at the same potential.
