Each diode's forward voltage is specified at 840 mV maximum at 30 A, so conduction losses at full load run about 25 W per device — the TO-220 case and a heatsink are mandatory for continuous operation above a few amps. The Fast Recovery classification (=< 500 ns, > 200 mA) confirms this is a standard-recovery Schottky, not an ultrafast or SiC part; it suits 50/60 Hz line-frequency rectification, output OR-ing, and switch-mode power supply secondary-side rectification where switching frequency stays under about 100 kHz.
For new designs the active status removes the obsolescence risk that sometimes shadows older TO-220 Schottky families.
Reverse leakage and junction temperature — the thermal budget drivers
The 175 °C junction rating is at the upper end for a silicon Schottky and gives headroom for high-ambient or poorly-ventilated enclosures, but the thermal resistance from junction to case must be managed with a proper heatsink to stay below that limit at 60 A total load.
