Field-fit: 5 A Schottky in a DO-201AD axial package
The STPS5L40 is a 40 V, 5 A Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics in a DO-201AD axial-lead package. It is a straightforward replacement for common 5 A Schottky diodes in low-voltage power supplies, freewheeling diodes in DC-DC converters, and OR-ing diodes in redundant power systems. The through-hole package makes it a field-serviceable part — you can swap it on site with a standard soldering iron and a pair of cutters, no hot-air station required.
At 5 A forward current the typical forward voltage is 500 mV. The reverse leakage is 200 µA at the rated 40 V reverse voltage.
