100 V, 5 A Schottky in DPAK — automotive-qualified
The STMicroelectronics STPS5H100BY-TR is an automotive-grade Schottky rectifier rated for 100 V DC reverse voltage and 5 A average forward current, housed in a surface-mount DPAK (TO-252) package. Its AEC-Q101 qualification and 175 °C maximum junction temperature target it for under-hood automotive electronics, high-ambient industrial power supplies, and DC-DC converter output stages where reverse recovery speed and thermal margin matter.
730 mV forward drop — conduction loss at rated current
Forward voltage is specified at 730 mV maximum at 5 A. The Schottky technology keeps the forward drop lower than a comparable PN-junction rectifier at this voltage class.
175 °C junction — thermal headroom for tight spots
Rated operating junction temperature spans -40 °C to 175 °C. That extra margin matters when the part sits near an exhaust manifold, inside a transmission control module, or in a sealed power supply where ambient air is stagnant. The reverse leakage at 100 V is 3.5 µA.
