100 V, 3 A Schottky in a SOD-128 flat package
The STPS3H100AFY is an automotive-grade Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics, rated for 100 V reverse voltage and 3 A average forward current in a SOD-128 flat-lead surface-mount package. It is AEC-Q101 qualified and the junction handles up to 175°C, which makes it a candidate for under-hood DC-DC converters, alternator rectification, and reverse-battery protection where ambient temperatures exceed 125°C.
Forward drop and leakage — the thermal budget drivers
At 3 A forward current the maximum forward voltage is 760 mV, which sets the conduction loss at roughly 2.3 W at rated current. The reverse leakage at 100 V is specified at 1.5 µA — a low value that keeps standby dissipation negligible in OR-ing and reverse-polarity circuits where the diode sits across the supply rail. The flat lead design improves heat transfer to the board compared to a standard SOD-128 with gull-wing leads.
