60 V, 30 A Schottky — the efficiency anchor in high-current rectification
The STPS30M60ST is a 60 V, 30 A Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics in a TO-220 through-hole package. Its 590 mV forward drop at 30 A keeps conduction losses low in power supplies, OR-ing diodes, and freewheeling paths where every millivolt counts toward the thermal budget.
At 30 A forward current the Vf max is 590 mV, which sets the conduction-loss floor for the heatsink design. Reverse leakage at 60 V is 165 µA — a figure that rises with junction temperature, so the 150°C max junction rating must be respected in continuous high-current operation.
