Active Schottky pair for switching supplies
It switches fast — recovery under 500 ns above 200 mA — so it belongs in a power supply or DC-DC converter, not a line-frequency rectifier. Forward drop is 600 mV at 15 A, which keeps the junction cooler than a standard diode at the same load. The TO-220-3 through-hole package means you can bolt it to a heatsink and swap it in the field without a hot-air station.
The 60 V Vr leaves headroom for a 48 V rail with margin, but not for a 72 V bus — keep that in mind if you're looking at a higher-voltage design. The 15 A per diode is the average rectified current; peak repetitive current is higher, but the thermal path matters: the TO-220 tab is the main heat path, so a proper heatsink or chassis mount is assumed. The 480 µA reverse leakage at 60 V is typical for a Schottky of this current class — expect it to rise with temperature, so derate if the junction runs near the 150°C max.
For BOM planning, there is no single-source risk from the lifecycle side.
