Common-cathode Schottky pair in TO-247-3
Each diode is rated for 15 A average rectified current at a forward voltage of 550 mV, with a maximum reverse voltage of 45 V.
Forward drop and thermal budget
At 15 A per diode the forward drop is 550 mV typical — low enough to keep conduction losses under 8.25 W per diode at full load. The junction temperature limit is 150 °C, so the TO-247-3 case needs a heatsink for continuous operation above a few amps; the through-hole mounting lets you bolt it to a chassis or extruded aluminum sink. Reverse leakage at 45 V is 400 µA, which adds negligible standing loss in most designs.
Switching speed and recovery
The Schottky barrier inherently avoids stored-charge reverse recovery, so the speed rating reflects the junction capacitance rather than minority-carrier sweep-out. For flyback or forward-converter output stages running 50–100 kHz, the 500 ns ceiling is conservative; the actual recovery is typically much faster.
