Thermal and electrical margins
Maximum junction temperature is 150°C, and reverse leakage at 45 V is 400 µA — a typical Schottky trade-off: low Vf comes with higher leakage at elevated temperature. On a 24 V bus the 45 V rating gives roughly 1.9× headroom for switching transients, which is comfortable for most industrial supplies. The 550 mV forward drop at 15 A means about 8.3 W per diode at full tilt; the TO-220 package with a heatsink is mandatory above a few amps continuous.
